Actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s film ‘Dream Girl 2’ trailer was launched at Meta’s office in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. On this occasion, the film’s director Raj Shandilya mentioned that ‘Dream Girl 2’ was originally planned for release in 2021, but due to the COVID situation, there was a delay in its production. However, they will soon begin work on ‘Dream Girl 3’.
During this event, film director Raj Shandilya shared a light-hearted moment with the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor. He said, “Ekta Ji was very cooperative during the film’s production. Whenever I asked her for something, she granted it four times.” He then paused and added, “… scoldings.” Ekta Kapoor, after hearing Raj Shandilya’s words, praised his sense of humor and remarked that Raj has a quality where he can turn any conversation into a humorous one. Raj Shandilya further stated, “Ekta Kapoor has made audiences emotional for 25 years on TV, and now, with Ekta Kapoor, we will make audiences laugh for the next 25 years.”

When the topic of ‘Dream Girl’ came up, Raj Shandilya mentioned, “When I was writing for Kapil Sharma’s show, I had dressed up many people as women there. That’s when I realized that a film could also be made on this concept. And, at this moment, I’m the only one who can write a film on this concept. In ‘Dream Girl,’ people went crazy listening to Pooja’s voice, and in ‘Dream Girl 2,’ they will see Pooja in the form of a girl. This film will provide the audience with a double dose of entertainment.”
On August 25, Dream Girl 2 is scheduled to hit theaters.
Ayushmann Khurrana transforms into everyone’s dream girl in his Pooja avatar, as seen in the trailer of ‘Dream Girl 2,’ where he disguises himself as a woman to deceive men and extract money from them.
Released late on Tuesday night by Balaji Motion Pictures, the three-minute and eleven-second trailer depicts Ayushmann’s character conversing with a credit card salesman over the phone, using a woman’s voice for his Pooja persona. Soon, we learn about the heavy debt burden left by his father (played by Annu Kapoor). The clip showcases Ananya Pandey as the love interest of Ayushmann’s character, and Ayushmann himself portrays Pooja, a glamorous woman.
We witness many falling for Pooja’s charm, and Ayushmann is ready to exploit them to resolve his financial crisis and satisfy Ananya’s father. However, things take a complicated turn when Ayushmann’s Pooja has to marry Shahrukh Khan (played by Abhishek Banerjee) for monetary reasons.

The spiritual follow-up to the hugely successful 2019 film “Dream Girl” depicts Ayushmann as a call center representative who impersonates Pooja in order to speak to callers in a female voice.
